What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Press Graphic Designer position at Jagwear Apparel?
Pre-press Graphic Designer needed to prepare digital files for printing/embroidery by ensuring they meet technical specifications for production. Adjust colors, fonts, image resolution and layout to prevent printing/embroidery errors. This role requires knowledge of design software, printing processes, color separations and file formats.Responsible for conversion of customers art, drawings and ideas into usable, approved press ready files
- Develop proofs from sales input or direct from Customers.
- Obtain timely approval from customers on proofs and make necessary changes as needed.
- Support other team members/functions when needed.
- Interacts and communicates with all departments in a positive, respectful, and enthusiastic manner.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Active team player who always exhibits a positive work attitude.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Proficient in graphic design software (Adobe, Illustrator, etc.) with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics. Needs solid communication skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, a willingness to perform repetitive tasks when required and the ability to perform well under time pressure.
Print industry experience preferred
