- Jags and Rags is a professional residential cleaning service in the Greater Grand Rapids area, specifically the Ada, Allendale, Byron Center, Cascade, EGR, Forest Hills, Grandville, Hudsonville, Jenison, Rockford, Standale, and Walker areas. We provide affordable weekly, biweekly, monthly, and one-time deep cleanings (i.e. holidays, events, move-in/out, and construction). We are known for one of the best rates and quality in the Greater Grand Rapids area.
Job Description:
- Jags and Rags are searching for a highly skilled, diligent residential cleaner who takes pride in their work. The residential cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the client’s homes.
- Our business is growing fast, and we are looking for a house cleaning tech with that entrepreneurial mindset to help continue this growth.
- For a full-time position, you will be required to work 30 hours per week with the opportunity for advancement as the business grows.
- Availability Requirements:
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM, and Fridays 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Scheduled cleanings will typically be back-to-back.
- Do not work on nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Only work until 2:00PM or earlier on Fridays to give you a longer weekend for appointments or to run errands!
House Cleaning Tech Responsibilities:
- Individuals will be responsible for working with one other team member to clean and maintain the client’s home.
- Dusting, washing, vacuuming, steaming, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces requested by the client.
House Cleaning Tech Requirements:
- Experienced cleaner preferred.
- Minimal absences
- High attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills with team members and clients.
- Ability to stand and move for several hours throughout the day.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds.
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable vehicle to drive the client's homes.
- Complete and pass a background check.

Compensation and Work Conditions:
- Hourly pay in the range of $21-$25 per hour, with a 5-day training period (5 full working days) at $16 per hour for the training period.
- Tips if given, will be shared amongst team members.
- PTO (50 hours of PTO at 6 months and 100 hours at 1 year, with 2.5 weeks ongoing after year 1)
- We are pleased to offer health insurance (medical, vision, and dental) for full-time employees only, after 90 days with the company.
- Pay via direct deposit weekly on Fridays, with taxes taken out.
- Annual cleaning bonus based on a Target % of annual wages
- Ready-to-go equipment and supplies will be available for the residential cleaners to pick up at the company's office prior to the first cleaning of each day.
