Financial Advisor | Established Client Base & Leadership Opportunity

Jaffe Tilchin Wealth Management

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85,000–$125,000 annually

About the Opportunity

Jaffe Tilchin Wealth Management is seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Raleigh office and help serve an established client base. This position offers the opportunity to lead financial planning engagements, build meaningful client relationships, and grow into a senior advisory role with increasing responsibility and long-term compensation potential.

No existing book of business is required. We're open to candidates at different stages of their careers, from developing advisors ready for greater responsibility to experienced professionals looking for a long-term opportunity.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with clients, takes initiative, and wants to play an important role in the growth and development of a wealth management practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead comprehensive financial planning engagements, including discovery, fact-finding, plan development, presenting recommendations, and implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with an established client base, providing ongoing financial planning and investment guidance.
  • Help facilitate the integration of an acquired advisory practice, guiding clients through custodial transfers, account transitions, and onboarding alongside our operational support team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client service workflows, operational efficiency, and the use of technology.
  • Collaborate with experienced advisors and firm leadership to enhance the client experience and support continued practice growth.
  • Take increasing ownership of client relationships and advisory responsibilities as your experience and familiarity with the practice develop.

An important distinction: Operational involvement will be greater during the initial acquisition transition. As the integration is completed, these responsibilities are expected to decrease significantly, allowing the advisor to focus primarily on financial planning and client relationships.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • 3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or a client-facing advisory role.
  • Experience working directly with clients and discussing financial planning or investment recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management operations and account administration.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to embrace technology and improve existing processes.
  • Someone who takes ownership, works well with a team, and is motivated to grow professionally.

Preferred, but Not Required:

  • CFP® certification or active pursuit of the designation.
  • Series 7 and Series 65 licenses.
  • Experience with financial planning software, CRM systems, and custodial platforms.

We recognize that strong candidates come from different backgrounds. We're willing to invest in training for someone with the right attitude and potential, while experienced advisors may have the opportunity to lead client engagements immediately.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $85,000–$125,000

Our salary range is intentionally broad to accommodate candidates with varying levels of experience and responsibility. Compensation will reflect each individual's qualifications and capabilities.

  • Health Insurance: Employer-sponsored health insurance offered.
  • Paid Time Off: 14 days annually, plus stock market holidays.
  • 401(k): Employer contribution equal to 3% of eligible salary, regardless of employee contributions.
  • Additional Compensation: Opportunities to earn additional compensation by bringing existing client relationships or independently developing new business.
  • Professional Development: Training, mentorship, and direct collaboration with experienced financial advisors.
  • Career Growth: Opportunity to advance into a senior advisor role, with increasing autonomy and potential revenue-sharing arrangements, subject to partner approval.
Long-Term Opportunity

Our goal is to develop a future leader within our Raleigh practice. Over time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become the primary advisor responsible for managing client relationships, leading financial planning engagements, and helping guide the practice's continued growth.

We're looking for someone who wants more than simply another advisory position. We want a professional who is excited to take ownership, contribute ideas, and build a meaningful long-term career.

If you're passionate about financial planning, enjoy working with clients, and are looking for an opportunity to grow within an established wealth management practice, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.
