Jaeger Lumber is proudly serving New Jersey’s finest contractors and home owners since 1937 for all of their construction and remodeling needs. We are a full-service provider of lumber and building products with a professional team of sales representatives ready to serve customers at any one of our 8 locations throughout New Jersey. At this time, we are looking for experienced lumber and building material sales persons for our Madison location. This person will not only work inside the store assisting customers but they will also visit customer sites when the need arises. Knowledge of windows, doors and millwork is preferred but experience in construction is also considered. Should be experienced in windows computing and have a familiarity with Microsoft office.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the store or over the phone helping to determine needs
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge of all stock materials that are sold at the store location
• Have general knowledge of available special order product lines and from which vendors they are available
• Coordinate and process deliveries with direction of store management
• Follow special order procedures which include the notification to customers when products have been received
• Track and follow up on existing orders and quotes
• Conduct follow-ups with potential customers to close sales and maintain relationships.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Schedule:

• No nights
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Building Materials: 2 years (Preferred)
• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Must be a team player and have a strong work ethic.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
