JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Calibration Technician
DEPARTMENT: JAE Houston, LLC
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
SUPERVISES: None
POSITION TYPE: Non-exempt
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing the calibration work for JAE’s and/or third party’s directional module package and/or similar products for the oil & gas industry for the Houston Repair Center. The individual will also record data gathered during calibration and enter the data into the system.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- General calibration work which consists of:
- Visual inspection
- Identifying the product’s defective performance with calibration stand and system
- Performing and adjusting calibration using the calibration equipment (jigs and data gathering software)
- Monitor the Calibration Stand ovens for issues and take appropriate action to complete the calibration
- Troubleshooting testing failures
- Data entry of defect information, repair work and calibration data

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of calibration or related operational experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
BUSINESS TRAVEL:
This position requires no traveling.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
This position requires lifting up to 30 pounds frequently. Standing for up to 8 hours.
