Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-facing Business Analyst with a strong consulting mindset and the ability to confidently engage with business stakeholders and customers. This role requires someone who can lead business discussions, facilitate workshops, gather and document requirements, and bridge the gap between business and technology teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and presentation skills, experience working in finance-focused environments, and exposure to the utility’s domain is a plus. This role requires a proactive professional who can drive conversations, influence stakeholders, and contribute to solution discovery and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, customers, and project teams to understand business needs and objectives
- Lead customer-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and business discussions
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions aligned with business goals
- Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements
- Create and maintain business and technical documentation, including:
- Business requirements documents (BRDs)
- Functional specifications
- Process flows
- Scope and requirements artifacts
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams
- Drive requirements clarification, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
- Present recommendations, findings, and project updates to leadership and customer stakeholders
- Support project delivery by ensuring requirements traceability and alignment with business objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in customer-facing environments
- Min 10 years exp and finance and accounting area and Finance domain projects or financial business processes
- Strong consulting mindset with structured problem-solving and framework-thinking abilities
- Proven experience leading business conversations and stakeholder engagements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience conducting finance focused discussions and workshops
- Ability to create detailed business and technical documentation
- Experience managing requirements, scope, and business process artifacts
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships with stakeholders
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
