What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor Assistant position at Jacques M. Glaze Land Surveying?
All work will be conducted outdoors, in various Counties throughout Central Ohio, assisting land surveyor with residential and farmland property boundary surveys. Occasionally set stakes for construction of site developments. Work varies as dictated by the site conditions being surveyed; such as measuring, map reading, digging for existing corner markers, cutting trees and brush, walking, setting iron pins and wooden stakes. Prior experience not required, however the successful applicant must enjoy working outdoors, have a good work ethic, and exhibit a willingness to learn. Ideal position for a retired individual looking to work a very flexible schedule, as weather permits. Proper attire is a must for your own safety, such as leather boots, blue jeans, nylon or canvas pants, and a long-sleeved shirt with collar. This is a part time position. References and a valid Ohio driver's license are required. A background check may be obtained.
