Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing facility, staff and fleet in the local area. The role is domiciled at our Kansas City branch office with primary responsibilities including coaching and directing a team of drivers, problem solving, minimizing delivery issues and maintaining customer service levels.

Essential Job Duties

• Ensures, promote and create safety awareness, incident prevention while creating and maintaining a safety culture environment
• Maintains fleet and other assets to specified standards within budgeted parameters through effective coordination with the Maintenance Department
• Ensures the efficient loading, and executing of dispatched routes
• Audits drivers and customer sites to ensure customer expectations of delivery requirements are being met by the drivers
• Understand and utilize daily operational dashboard and reports
• Assists with Managing Maintenance Protocols “Truck service”
• Follows and execute daily, weekly, monthly quarterly SOP requirements
• Prepares incidents reports as needed
• Performs any driver/delivery duties as necessary to fulfill branch and route needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tankers Endorsements
• At least 1 year experience in transportation management/dispatch along with a thorough, demonstrated understanding of fleet operations
• Knowledge of transportation operations and laws, federal safety regulations and maintenance requirements preferred
• Strong customer orientation in interacting with and resolving customer related issues in a timely, professional, and positive manner
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $75,000.00 per year plus quarterly incentive bonuses for metric achievements with company truck and gas card.
