What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Asset Technician position at Jacobus Energy Mobile Fueling?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The major task areas required of the incumbents to successfully perform in this job.)
· Perform all PMA, PMB, coolant flushes and transmission services.
· Process and file all DOT, tank and maintenance documents.
· Ensure all on-board paperwork, documentation and supplies are in place on all trucks.
· Schedule dealership repairs and drop off and pick up trucks.
· Perform weekly truck inspections and make sure all trucks are kept cleaned.
· Use PPE and ensure they are being used throughout the branch.
· Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure all pre-trip inspections are being completed.
· Communicate with District Operations Manager as it pertains to the safety of the trucks. Responsible for timely write-ups of any safety issues.
· Place, move, service and rework skid tanks.
· Troubleshoot handheld issues.
· Keep shop inventory, and order, receive and enter all parts in TMW.
· Preload trucks, handle/coordinate fuel transfers. Coordinate truck loading and supplier selection.
· Perform pre-employment road tests and train new drivers on terminal loading.
· Responsible for driver duties on a needed basis to include primary routes, covering vacations and absences, and assisting with storm fueling.
· Other administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:(Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.)
- Requires successful completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent and up to three months truck driving experience.
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Fuel Delivery Driver or Diesel Mechanic
- Requires valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic regulations.
- Requires physical and mechanical ability to perform all primary job duties.
- Requires Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
- Requires Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Knowledge of TMW and PeopleNet Software is a required as well as proficiency with Outlook and other Microsoft Office products
- Requires ability to use equipment such as fuel nozzle, tanker equipment, hand held and computer
- Requires knowledge of and the ability to use standard office equipment.
- Requires strong team/leadership orientation in interacting with District Operations Manager, Safety Manager and Drivers.
