Our Cities & Places team is seeking an Associate Architectural Designer to help deliver innovative, sustainable, and human-centered design solutions that shape communities and improve the way people live, work, and connect. As we continue to expand our architectural practice in the Boston market, we’re looking for a design-focused, technically minded architect ready to grow and make an impact. As an Associate Architectural Designer, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, design, and documentation of complex projects across civic, transportation, higher education, federal, life science and commercial markets. You’ll contribute to the development of architectural concepts, coordinate with engineering partners, and help advance projects through all phases—from early visioning through construction administration. What You’ll Do Support architectural design and documentation efforts across all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Assist with the preparation of drawings, models, renderings, and other project deliverables using Revit and other design software. Solve complex problems in collaboration with team leaders, may lead project steps within a broader project Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including engineering, planning, and interiors—to ensure coordinated, integrated design solutions. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design workshops as needed. Assist in developing design narratives, specifications, and technical reports. Conduct product research and support material/finish selections. Review shop drawings, RFIs, and construction submittals during the construction administration phase. Help maintain quality standards and support the execution of project goals, schedules, and deliverables. Contribute to a culture of innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the architectural team. Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program 5+ years of post-graduate professional architectural experience Proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling and documentation Knowledge of building systems, codes, and architectural best practices Excellent verbal and written communication skill Ideally, You’ll Also Have Registered Architect license Experience in one or more Cities & Places market sectors (civic, health, transportation, higher education, federal, commercial, life science) Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, or other visualization tools Interest or experience in sustainable design and LEED, WELL, or similar rating systems Experience working with large, complex, or multi-stakeholder projects Participation in a professional organization Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $97,700.00 to $134,400.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
