Position OverviewAccountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients across various industries. This role includes daily bookkeeping tasks, payroll processing, sales tax processing, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate is dependable, client-focused, and able to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, strong analytical and leadership skills, and often a CPA designation. ResponsibilitiesRecord daily financial transactions, including bills, invoices, deposits, and journal entriesPerform monthly bank and credit card reconciliationsAnalyze account variances and reconcile balance sheet accountsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial statements and supporting schedules for clientsMaintain general ledger accuracy for multiple clientsProcess full-cycle payroll for assigned clients and prepare payroll tax filingsPrepare and file state and federal payroll reports (e.g., 941, 940, state unemployment, W-2s, 1099s)Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filingsSupport tax preparation teams with GL data and schedulesCommunicate with clients to gather financial information and clarify account issuesHandle special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assignedAssist managers and partners with special projects as needed QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA or CPA-eligible preferred2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a multi-client environmentStrong understanding of the tax basis of accounting and general ledger processesExperience with QuickBooks accounting softwareHigh proficiency with Microsoft ProductsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyCompany DescriptionCPA firm based in Central Arkansas, with offices also located in McGehee and Hazen.
