Position Summary

Jacob Electric LLC is seeking experienced Journeyman Commercial Electricians to support commercial, industrial, tenant improvement, hospitality, multifamily, and service projects across multiple regions in the United States and Canada.

This position involves commercial electrical construction, service upgrades, troubleshooting, conduit installation, lighting systems, power distribution, maintenance operations, and coordination with project teams, contractors, and inspectors.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, professional, and experienced in commercial electrical systems and fast-paced construction environments.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
  • Perform conduit bending, raceway installation, and wire pulling
  • Install panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting systems, and branch circuits
  • Support service upgrades and electrical modernization projects
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and specifications
  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, engineers, and inspectors
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance service work
  • Support tenant improvement and commercial build-out projects
  • Maintain NEC and local code compliance
  • Complete work safely and maintain jobsite organization
  • Participate in project scheduling and coordination activities
  • Support emergency service and facility maintenance operations


Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years commercial electrical experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems
  • Experience with conduit systems, power distribution, and lighting controls
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA safety knowledge preferred
  • Experience in commercial construction and service environments

  • EL01 Journey Level Electrician License
  • EL02 Residential License (limited scope)
  • Washington State Electrical Trainee Card

California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR)

Accepted Certifications:

  • California General Electrician Certification
  • Electrical Trainee Registration


Florida β€” Orlando Division

Licensing Agency:

Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR)

Accepted Licenses:

  • Certified Electrical Contractor License
  • Registered Electrical Contractor License
  • Local Journeyman Certification


British Columbia, Canada β€” Vancouver Division

Licensing Agencies:
