Job Summary
The Facilitator is responsible for assisting Program director and Assistant director with the overall quality of the safety and crime program. The Facilitator will be directly responsible for activities and monitoring members.
Job Responsibilities
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor workshops.
- Prepare and monitor lesson plans and activities.
- Establish, communicate, and enforce high standards for quality development programming.
- Recommend ongoing improvements for program safety and quality.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of all contractual and grant agreement obligations, accurate attendance database entry, document filing, and program milestone evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with appropriate staff to input relevant tracking data into the database.
- Cultivate positive relationships with program participants, families, and staff.
- Oversee program activities for quality and effectiveness.
- Develop recruitment and retention strategies to maximize reach.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
STATEMENT OF SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Direct experience working with an adolescent population (13-21 year old) required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of the public education system and positive youth development best practices.
- Must be a self-motivated, highly organized team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and database management.
- Willingness and ability to engage in physical tasks and work flexible hours.
- Independent worker who can prioritize tasks and take initiative.
- Strong administrative, public speaking, writing, and organizational skills.
