Brief Description
Under the direction of Director - Fixed Route Vehicles, the Service Station Supervisor - Fixed Route supervises cleaning staff, service attendants, technicians, or support personnel in the sanitation and upkeep of buses.
Essential Function(s)
The Service Station Supervisor - Fixed Route is a position primarily located in a maintenance and cleaning environment with essential functions being performed in both a shop environment and possibly outside in various weather conditions around vehicles and cleaning equipment.
The position requires collaboration with colleagues. The incumbent may be required to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to emergencies or to meet operational needs.
Physical Demands
Lifting and carrying cleaning supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, repetitive motion, exposure to chemicals, and standing or bending for prolonged periods.

Essential Function(s)
- Responsible for assigning work to cleaning staff, service attendants, technicians, and support personnel who are engaged in the cleaning and sanitation of buses.
- Schedule daily cleaning assignments and maintain daily logs. Prepare and prioritize cleaning schedules and tasks.
- Report and record any cleanliness issues or defects discovered during sanitation.
- Review cleaning in progress and perform quality control inspections weekly to ensure that the sanitation program is progressing according to schedule.
- Assist department staff by answering questions and providing information relating to cleaning methods and procedures.
- Assist cleaners in proper techniques and training. Perform cross-training of jobs where feasible.
- Maintain a variety of computerized records and prepare reports of work performed, supplies used, chemical usage, daily reports, and cleaning orders.
- Maintain the cleaning areas and work spaces in a safe and neat manner.
- Supervise and maintain records of cleanings and daily reports according to established procedures.
- Coordinate bus availability for cleaning with the Scheduler.
- Conduct meetings with employees concerning work and communications.
- Conform with all safety rules and wear/use all appropriate safety equipment, including protective gear for handling cleaning agents.

- High school graduation or an acceptable equivalency diploma supplemented by advanced technical training in vehicle sanitation or commercial cleaning.
- Five (5) years of experience in the cleaning and sanitation of fleet vehicles or large-scale facilities.
- Possession of a valid Florida Class - E Driver's License.
- Qualified Sanitation Technician; certification in hygiene or cleaning standards (e.g., ISSA or similar).
- Possession of a valid Florida CDL.

- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with employees of all levels within an organization.
- Ability to operate a personal computer in the maintenance of records and in report preparation.
- Ability to supervise a staff of cleaning personnel, service attendants, technicians, and support staff.
- Ability to read and interpret technical publications and guidelines related to sanitation.
- Ability to identify cleanliness issues and solve problems relating to transit vehicle sanitation.
