Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center is hiring a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support early intervention services for preschool-aged children (2–5 years old). This position is a great fit for an SLPA who enjoys working with young children in school-based settings and wants a reliable weekday morning schedule.
What You’ll Do
As an SLPA, you’ll provide direct therapy services under the guidance of a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist while helping children strengthen foundational speech and language skills.
Key duties include:
- Provide speech-language intervention sessions to children ages 2-5
- Follow individualized goals and treatment plans for each child
- Encourage communication growth through play-based, natural learning routines
- Record session notes and complete documentation accurately and on time
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders (or related area)
- Active Florida SLPA license
- Dependable transportation for travel to assigned preschool locations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Genuine interest in working with young children and families
Preferred
- Experience in preschools, early childhood programs, or school-based services
- Knowledge of early intervention methods and play-based therapy approaches
