Physical Education Teacher (Elementary)

Position Overview

Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools (ARLCS) is seeking a dynamic and mission-aligned Physical Education Teacher who is committed to developing the whole child—academically, physically, and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned physical education instruction

• Promote physical fitness, health, and wellness through engaging and structured activities

• Foster a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal accountability

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all scholars

• Monitor and assess scholar progress in physical development and skill acquisition

• Integrate social-emotional learning and character development into daily instruction

• Collaborate with staff to support whole-child outcomes

• Maintain strong classroom management aligned with ARLCS expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field preferred)

• Valid Arkansas teaching license (or eligibility to obtain through an approved pathway)

• Ability to pass all required background checks
