The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, playing their first regular season home game on September 3, 1995 in Jacksonville, Fla., and have since won four division titles. Summary
The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently seeking a talented, highly motivated creative with a passion for photography. Photography and Archive Seasonal Assistant is a temporary role and will assist the Manager of Photography with executing the photography needs for various business and football operations during the 2022 season.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in photography administration for the daily operations of the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Photograph marketing, community, concert, sponsorship, and other events as assigned
- Perform digital asset metadata management for digital archive database via PhotoShelter
- Handle image sourcing for internal & external photo requests
- Edit/curate photography assets to be used across Jaguars digital/social platforms
- Photograph sponsorship and fan elements during home games (NOT action/field photography)
- Collaborate with creative, social, and video teams for assigned projects
- Coordinate delivery of products for external and internal partners
- Assist Team Photographer with photoshoots
- Will be required periodically to lift and carry equipment (50 - 75lbs)
- Research best practices in photography across professional sports teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or Photojournalism preferred, or currently enrolled as a student
- Must have a background in photography
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Photo Mechanic, and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Candidate must be able to function in a fast-paced setting and possess great organizational skills
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones
- Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning among others
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel to various events around the community through reliable personal transportation
- Ability to contribute creative solutions in a collaborative environment.
- Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Preferred
- 1-2 years of sports photography experience (collegiate or professional level)
