Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Detail Department Manager to lead, build, and operate this department at a high level. This is not a sit-back management role - you will be actively involved in the day to day work while leading a team that delivers fast, consistent, showroom-quality vehicles.
Duties
- Hire, train, and lead a team of 3-4 detail technicians.
- Manage reconditioning for 180 vehicles per month.
- Ensure consistent output of 7-9 vehicles per day.
- Perform and oversee detailing for all frontline inventory vehicles, sold units for delivery, and vehicles being sent to auction.
- Perform and train on ceramic coatings and paint corrections/polishing.
- Perform final inspections on all sold vehicles.
- Manage supplies, chemicals, and detailing equipment.
- Create structure, workflow, and accountability within the department.
Qualifications
- 3 years of automotive detailing experience (dealership preferred).
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Hands-on working manager mentality.
- High-speed buffer/paint correction (REQUIRED).
- Polishing and finishing techniques.
- Interior detailing and extraction.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High attention to detail and work ethic.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
