Service Writer – Baton Rouge Location
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Service Writer to join our Baton Rouge team. This position serves as the first point of contact for all service customers and plays a critical role in coordinating repair orders, communication, and workflow within the shop.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact at the service counter for incoming customers
- Assist with answering all service‑related phone calls
- Ensure all customers complete drop‑off sheets and assist with gathering accurate information
- Initiate repair paperwork and coordinate with Parts Department on required parts
- Build repair orders, verify purchase orders, and distribute paperwork to department heads
- Communicate repair updates to customers throughout the process and upon completion
- Submit repair orders for billing in a timely and accurate manner
- Enforce shop rules and maintain professional standards
- Manage approvals through fleet management companies, including reference number documentation
- Conduct yard checks twice weekly prior to production meetings
- Update road call tickets
- Move customer trucks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- CDK experience is a plus
- Professional communication skills and customer‑service mindset
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
