What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech position at Jackson Therapy Partners?

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic studies.





Minimum Requirements


  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or graduation from an AMA‑approved school of nuclear medicine.
  • Registration in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). (Required.)
  • BLS certification.
  • State certification or licensure as required to practice nuclear medicine in Michigan when applicable.
  • Experience performing diagnostic nuclear medicine studies and preparing/administering radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to operate and perform routine maintenance and quality assurance on nuclear imaging equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance (The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local standards).
  • Preferred: 2 years’ experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in a hospital setting.
  • Completion of a skills checklist within one year of application, if available.




Assignment Details


  • Shift hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Work days: Monday through Friday.
  • Position type: Travel assignment in a hospital setting in Fenton, MI.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, performing imaging studies, documenting results, maintaining supplies and equipment, and practicing radiation safety.
