Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.






Minimum Requirements


  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent training.
  • Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience.
  • Experience performing cardiac stress/rest studies, HIDA, GI bleed studies, VQ scans, bone scans, renal scans, parathyroid SPECT/CT, and pulmonary perfusion imaging.
  • Experience starting IVs and administering radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S required. Siemens Prospecta experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently; may be the only nuclear medicine technologist on shift.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR and Philips PACS preferred.
  • Ability to work in an acute hospital environment, including experience with trauma or high-acuity patients preferred.





Assignment Details


  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Unit: Nuclear Medicine department within a 361-bed hospital with Level II trauma designation and teaching/residency programs.
  • Patient population: Adults only. Average census approximately 14 patients per day. Typical unit setup includes 3 exam rooms.
  • Schedule: Standard hours per week 36. 13-week travel assignment.
  • Orientation: Four shifts of orientation in department (NEO).
  • Weekend rotation required; could be every weekend per requisition.
  • Holiday expectations: On-call for some holidays; call only for others.
  • Floating: No floating to other facilities required.
  • Support staffing: Lead tech, management, house transport, and 2–3 nuclear med techs during weekdays; typically 1 tech on weekends. RN support available (1 RN on weekends) for cardiac cases.
  • Technology/equipment: Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S required; Siemens Prospecta preferred. EPIC and Philips PACS in use.
  • Scrub color: Black. Parking: Free.

The city features the historic Broad Street district with restaurants and shops, is approximately 30 minutes from Red Top Mountain State Park on Lake Allatoona, and is within a 1.5-hour drive to Amicalola Falls State Park and the Appalachian Trail trailheads. The area fits an active, suburban lifestyle with opportunities for paddling, fishing, cycling, and local cultural events such as community festivals and performing arts at local theaters.
