Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Hudson, FL. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness in an outpatient setting, helping them move better and regain function under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports orthopedic and general outpatient caseloads and includes delivery of therapeutic interventions, patient and family education, and documentation of progress.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Florida PTA license or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience or comfort working in outpatient orthopedic environments is preferred.
• Ability to perform therapeutic interventions including gait training, strengthening, balance, mobility training, and selected modalities (e.g., hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS) as supervised by a Physical Therapist.
• New graduates are eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic clinics.
• Experience with safe patient handling, adaptive equipment training, and community re-entry training.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
• Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Outpatient orthopedic caseload preferred.

You will implement treatment goals and programs established by the Physical Therapist and assist with interventions to meet patients' long-term goals. Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, instructing patients and families in good body mechanics and equipment use, maintaining professional relationships with patients and staff, participating in team conferences, and adhering to safety and infection control policies. You will promote patient and employee safety by following safe patient handling and workplace safety practices.
