Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Virginia state PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Minimum 6 months of outpatient physical therapy experience required.
- Experience with outpatient evaluation, development of treatment plans, goal writing, and documentation in compliance with state and payer guidelines.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate medical record documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
- Willingness to participate in student supervision and professional development activities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with functional treatment programs focused on community reintegration and return to activity.
- Prior experience in musculoskeletal or outpatient orthopedic caseloads.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Monday and Wednesday 9:30 AM–7:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; Friday 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks.
- Must adhere to clinic standards for professional appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
- May be required to supervise students and collaborate with interdisciplinary therapy staff.
