Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
• Active New Mexico state license or ability to obtain state license prior to assignment start.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.
• All clinical staff assigned in New Mexico must complete state fingerprint-based background screening. Travelers may begin on a 14-day supervised waiver while results are pending. Agencies must have an account with the New Mexico Department of Health and submit clinicians via the NM DOH portal (ORI code NM920160z).
• Required certifications must be provided at submission. Client may request additional certifications; follow the LPNT checklist for current requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel therapy experience.
• Experience with post-operative orthopedic care and mobility recovery protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records used in acute care settings.

Assignment Details

• Shift days: Monday through Friday.
• Shift hours: 0800-1700.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignments.
• Travelers may be required to work under supervision during initial waiver period while background check results are pending.
