Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in a hospital setting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in hospital or acute care settings preferred.
- Ability to assess patient functional levels, develop and implement treatment plans, and participate in interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with discharge planning, adaptive equipment recommendations, and caregiver training.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling techniques and infection control practices.
- Demonstrated documentation skills and timely completion of progress notes.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.
- May supervise COTAs and OT students as part of role.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and discharge planning.
