Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required.
- Active Oklahoma state SLP license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required.
- Long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience required.
- Able to supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians or students.
- Adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC (preferred).
- New graduates with Level II experience may be considered (preferred).
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift pattern: 5 x 8 hour shifts, 35 GWW.
- Weekend requirement: None.
- Clinical responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and treating patients for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders; utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions; documenting treatment minutes and clinical records per regulatory requirements; participating in care conferences and facility trainings; and providing discharge summaries.
- Must maintain active ASHA certification and state licensure. Oklahoma licensure required.
