Minimum Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Valid Maine state Radiation Therapy license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a radiation therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with MOSAIQ electronic medical record system.
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator.
• Experience with Vision RT surface guidance/beam control.
• Experience treating patient types including head and neck, prostate, lung, breast, bone and brain metastases, colorectal, skin, and sarcoma.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a hospital or teaching facility setting.
• Previous work with collaborative, small-team department structures.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0700–1530 (schedule may vary; some late treatments up to 1630).
- Workdays: Monday–Friday.
- Weekend rotation: None.
- On-call: No.
- Floating: No.
- Orientation: New employee orientation plus 2–3 unit orientation shifts.

Impacting Patient Care
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed treatments. Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during therapy. Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy. Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with management, lead therapist, and rapid response/code teams to support safe, effective care.
