Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree acceptable).
- Current California Physical Therapist license required by start of contract.
- Recent experience in outpatient orthopedics required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Ability to provide one-on-one patient care across diagnoses including orthopedics, general deconditioning, balance and fall prevention.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook and Word. Ability to learn Cerner EMR and facility clinical applications.
- Interpersonal and analytical skills to instruct and comfort patients and to prioritize caseloads.
- Willingness to float to acute/inpatient care as needed.
- Preferred: Inpatient/acute care experience (training/mentoring provided if needed).
- Preferred: Additional specialty experience such as pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation, outpatient neuro rehab, pediatrics, or lymphedema.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital outpatient clinic.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 0800-1830.
- Days per week: 4 days/week.
- On-call requirement: One weekend per month, approx. 0700-0900 each day for inpatient coverage.
- Patient population: Primarily outpatient orthopedics; occasional inpatient/acute care as needed.
- EMR: Cerner.
