What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist - Travel Contract position at Jackson Therapy Partners?
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Provide physical therapy to home health patients across the lifespan. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care. Document and revise Plans of Care, progress notes, and other clinical records. Educate patients and families on transfer techniques, durable medical equipment, and therapeutic procedures. Follow infection control and universal precautions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Current State License as a Physical Therapist required to start the assignment.
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA‑approved program required. Equivalent graduate degrees acceptable if from accredited programs.
- Proof of current CPR certification required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.
- 1-2 years experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing and walking as job duties require.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as part of job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous home care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment preferred.
