Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active State of Alaska Occupational Therapy License is required to start the position.
• BLS Certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
• Experience with pediatric populations preferred but not required. Candidates without pediatric background who demonstrate strong clinical skills and a willingness to learn will be considered.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload in an outpatient setting.
• Experience or willingness to provide occasional early intervention/home therapy visits.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn Fusion EMR.

Position Overview

• Outpatient pediatric Occupational Therapist position in Anchorage, AK.
• Clinic focus: pediatric OT services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary outpatient clinic featuring OTs, PTs, and Speech Therapists.
• Open gym concept with shared treatment spaces and a team-oriented environment.
• Options: Permanent hire preferred; 6-month contract candidates will be considered.

Schedule & Caseload

• Days. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Typical caseload: approximately 32–36 patients per week; generally 8–9 scheduled patients per day.
• Primarily clinic-based care with some early intervention/home therapy.

Patient Population

• Treats a wide variety of pediatric diagnoses across newborns through age 18, with most patients aged 3–9 years.
• Frequent diagnoses include Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and developmental delays.
• Clinic environment designed primarily for younger children, with occasional adolescent patients.

Team Structure & Culture

• Team of approximately eight therapists including Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists.
• OT will manage their own caseload independently with supportive and involved leadership.
• Clinic culture emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and a positive, collaborative environment.
• Leadership offers transparent communication regarding expectations and daily operations.

Compensation & Relocation

• Competitive compensation; typical pay observed in the clinic was within a specified competitive range.
• Relocation assistance has been provided for prior hires and may be available for permanent candidates, generally contingent on a contractual commitment.

EMR

• Clinic uses Fusion EMR, described as user-friendly and easy to learn.

Interview Process

• Initial phone interview with clinic leadership.
• Potential second interview as needed. Leadership will provide candid expectations about clinic pace and workflow during interviews.
