Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active Iowa COTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to start.
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a COTA in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred; candidates meeting minimum experience will be considered.
- Experience with restorative nursing programs, ADL retraining, and durable medical equipment (DME) recommendations preferred.
- Ability to follow written care plans, document using electronic health record systems, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
