Become a vital part of a hospital radiology team in Artesia, NM as an experienced CT Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, start IVs, and operate CT and X-ray equipment to support patient diagnosis and care. This role includes responsibilities across CT and general radiography and involves clinical work in an acute care hospital environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current BLS certification.
- New Mexico state radiology/CT license or ability to obtain New Mexico licensure.
- ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) preferred.
- Experience with CT and general X-ray procedures. One year of clinical experience acceptable; first-time travelers welcome.
- Ability to start IVs.
- Experience or willingness to work in ER and OR settings and perform common CT exams including CT angiography (CTA).
- Familiarity with TruBridge (CPSI) EMR and NOVA RAD PACS preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (CT).
- Experience with Fuji CT scanners and Philips or GE X-ray equipment.
- Experience working independently as the single overnight technologist.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 1900–0700.
- Scheduled days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday (rotating).
- On-call requirements: weekday early morning coverage as needed (approximately 0530–0700) and 24-hour coverage during weekend call periods; 30-minute response expectation when on call.
- Possible float to outpatient clinics for X-ray coverage.
- Department equipment: Fuji Sceneria CT scanner, Philips digital diagnostic X-ray room, Optima 220 portable; short equipment orientation provided.
- Orientation: up to one week; client allows up to 6 hours of compensated module completion prior to floor start.
