Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Part-time and Full-time shifts - day or evening - are available. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support nursing staff, and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients in accordance with established practices and standards. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids.
- Assist with feeding patients who require help, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, including tidying up rooms and changing linens.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist nurses with basic medical procedures and support with medical equipment.
- Follow patient care plans as directed by nursing staff, ensuring all care is provided with respect and dignity.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain sanitary conditions within the facility.
- Must participate in training and continuing education as required to maintain certification.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to empathize with patients and provide emotional support.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
