Duties
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems to process sales accurately, handle cash register operations, and manage retail sales transactions.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, take their orders, upsell menu items, and provide excellent food service experience.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, organizing ingredients, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage food handling responsibilities including proper storage, portioning, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing machines, ovens, and other food prep tools.
- Assist with supporting sanitation efforts to uphold a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service/fast food restaurant environments preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems & cashiering experience is highly valued.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to ensure customer safety.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace at all times.
- Retail or grocery store experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.
