Accountant, Revenue

Overview

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for properly performing all accounting activities related to the Revenue Audit Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls.  Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
• Reviews records and reports generated by Audit for accuracy and any unusual occurrences.
• Evaluates credit card transactions for accuracy; performs necessary corrections; and communicates findings with Audit Management.
• Maintains General Ledger accounts and reviews accuracy of transactions posted.
• Reviews monthly activity against budget and investigates variances.
• Performs various account reconciliations and maintains financial statement reconciliation records.
• Works directly with internal and external auditors and other outside regulatory agencies to offer inspection of documentation and assists in the preparation of all necessary documents prior to an external audit.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum education, training, and previous work experience required to perform this job:

• Typically requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of related experience.

Pay range: $27.00 - $35.10 per hour

This is not a smoke free workplace.  Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment
