Registered Nurse, Womens Services

Jackson Purchase Medical Center seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for Women's Services to provide comprehensive care to patients across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. In our 107-bed acute care hospital, you will perform thorough assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications and IV therapies, and ensure accurate EMR documentation. You will educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, and newborn care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to women's services patients including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance at all times
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement, training, and continuing education activities
• Support a compassionate, patient-centered, community-focused culture and mentor newer staff as needed
