- Provide direct nursing care to women's services patients including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, training, and continuing education activities
- Support a compassionate, patient-centered, community-focused culture and mentor newer staff as needed
