Position Summary
The Service Worker – EVS creates a sanitary and safe environment while enhancing the overall appearance of the facility. This role is responsible for cleaning patient rooms and designated areas, maintaining supplies, and ensuring all environmental services procedures and infection control standards are followed.
Reports To: Director of Environmental Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Minimum Work Experience:
Previous clinical housekeeping experience preferred.

- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- This position requires hands-on experience with commercial floor equipment and floor maintenance procedures, including stripping and waxing floors.
Essential Job Functions
- Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Follows policies and procedures regarding patient isolation.
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
- Maintains carts and equipment in clean, working condition and stores them appropriately at the end of the shift.
