What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Technician position at Jackson Properties?
Summary: Responsible for interior and exterior plumbing/general building repairs. Maintain proper structural condition and a high standard of appearance to support the overall needs of our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Build and maintain relationships with Jackson employees, vendors, new and existing clients.
Plumbing duties including installation/replacement of gas lines, supply lines, waste lines, fixtures, and appliances; major and minor leak repairs; clearing and inspecting drain lines, etc.
Exterior building repairs and maintenance including but not limited to: minor roof repairs, cleaning, gutter and downspout repairs; exterior painting and caulking; minor repairs or replacement of plaster, drywall, wood siding and trim; power washing, cleaning and graffiti removal.
Interior building repairs and maintenance including demolition, drywall, paint, flooring, acoustical ceilings, doors and hardware, carpentry, cleaning, etc.
Minor electrical including lamp replacements, ballast replacements, photocells and adjust lighting controls. Identify and troubleshooting power issues, etc.
Minor HVAC including inspection, filter replacements, coil cleaning and maintenance of roof top package units and Zonelines. Minor repairs of condensate drains, gas and electrical. Troubleshoot and make repair recommendations. Coordination with third party HVAC repair vendors.
Complete Timecards and Work Orders with accurate information and a timely fashion.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Appearance: Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor.
Education and/or Experience: Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or 5 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Ability to maneuver through and utilize different computer applications and software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current valid unrestricted California Drivers License Required. Must be insurable and have clean Motor Vehicle Report. Certificate of insurance required when using personal vehicle for company business.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to plumb, level and square up installed materials. Ability to drive company vehicle between job sites.
