Jackson Physician Search is seeking a highly motivated and driven Search Consultant, also known as a Physician Recruiter, to join our team. In this role, you’ll consultatively partner with clients to identify and place top-tier physician and advanced practice candidates by utilizing JPS’s innovative sourcing tools and resources. You’ll have the opportunity to visit clients onsite, building meaningful and lasting client relationships. This role blends the excitement of sales with the fulfillment of recruiting, paving the way for a career filled with uncapped earnings, personal and professional growth, and making a meaningful impact on clients’ communities.
Essential Duties:
- Partner consultatively with clients to conduct searches and fill physician staffing needs
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding search activity
- Achieve productivity goals and metrics
- Call physicians to proactively source viable candidates
- Conduct thorough phone screens with attention to detail and prompt follow up
- Update the internal client and provider database with recruitment-related activity
- Oversee and manage the credentials and availability of physician candidates
- Use creativity to create effective job advertisements for open opportunities
- Travel overnight to conduct onsite client profiles, 10-15% a year
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 3 years of successful physician or healthcare recruiting experience required; preferably at a staffing firm
- More experienced physician recruiters are welcome to apply
- Healthcare or physician recruitment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills required
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles requiring strategic communication and relationship building
- Professional presence and confidence to work with physicians and hospital executives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce/CRM, and job boards
- Consistent employment history with verifiable references
