Duties
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, administering medications, and monitoring ICU patients.
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during surgeries and other invasive procedures to prevent infections.
- Operate X-ray and ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes while ensuring animal safety through proper restraint and positioning.
- Assist with animal handling during critical care situations, ensuring safety for both animals and staff while applying knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential for effective assistance.
