Jackson Nissan Dealership is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Accounting and License & Title Clerk to join the dealership team in Jackson, Michigan.
The ideal candidate must have experience working in multiple automotive dealership accounting positions, including vehicle billing, license and title processing, account reconciliations, and accounts payable. This is not an entry-level position.
Previous CDK experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Process Michigan license and title transactions accurately and promptly
- Handle titles, registrations, liens, payoffs, dealer trades, wholesale transactions, and out-of-state paperwork
- Bill and audit new and used vehicle deals
- Review deal documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Post vehicle sales and related transactions in CDK
- Reconcile dealership accounts, schedules, cash accounts, vehicle inventory, and floorplan accounts
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules regularly
- Provide light accounts payable support
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Communicate with department managers regarding missing documents or financial discrepancies
- Support the controller with accounting and reporting needs
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of automotive dealership accounting experience
- Experience working in multiple dealership accounting positions
- Strong automotive billing experience
- Strong Michigan license and title experience
- Account and schedule reconciliation experience
- Light accounts payable experience
- CDK experience is required
- Strong understanding of automotive accounting and vehicle deal processing
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting preferred
