This position will sit in our New Orleans office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
- Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
- Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
- This role will have a strong emphasis on OSHA work and work with the OSHA practice group
- J.D. from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials
- 3 years of litigation experience, employment law background preferred.
- OSHA experience or a willingness to practice in OSHA preferred.
- Current Louisiana Bar admission
- Some experience in Federal litigation required
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment
