What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant position at Jackson Hospital and Clinic?
Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative activities and exercises as outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree from a school/college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Alabama and holds current BCLS (CPR) certification.
- Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Understands and has experience with the basic equipment used in exercise, modalities used in outpatient and/or inpatient physical therapy.
- Specialized Skills: Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, gain cooperation and exhibit customer service skills. Requires basic computer skills.
