What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Pharmacy Technician FT - Flexible + Weekends position at Jackson Hospital and Clinic?
Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in preparing (non-sterile) and distributing medications, restocking automated dispensing devices, crash carts and fire medic kits, processing patient charges and credits and maintaining the drug inventory. They work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable, but not required. Experience: 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Pharmacy Technician Registration through the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy, State Technician Certification is required. National Certification is preferred.
