What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Pharmacy Services position at Jackson Hospital and Clinic?
The director of pharmacy is responsible for overseeing all medication storage, preparation and utilization in the health system or organization. The director of pharmacy ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal services to provide quality pharmaceutical care; meets all legal, accreditation and certification requirements and complies will all applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, codes and standards of the organization.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree plus evidence of a clinical knowledge base (ie., certificate programs, BCPS, self-study) or Pharm.D. degree from a School of Pharmacy. Experience: 5-7 years of health system experience with at least 3 - 5 years management experience. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Current licensure in the State of Alabama and controlled substances permit.
