Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
- Support children with their activities, encouraging participation and fostering social-emotional skills
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Provide basic first aid when necessary, including handling minor injuries or health concerns following established protocols
- Collaborate with staff to create an inclusive environment that accommodates children with special needs or disabilities
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by assisting with setup, cleanup, and materials preparation
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is a strong plus
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is desirable
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among children
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-1pm
Pay: $9.00 - $11.50 per hour
