What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech position at Jackson HealthPros?
Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB certificate required.
- State license or certification to practice nuclear medicine in Nebraska.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital environment preferred.
- Ability to comply with facility radiation safety procedures. Radiation badge will be provided by the client.
- Driver's license required at submittal to verify radius requirement.
- Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity (radius rule applies: 50 miles).
- DOT certification preferred at initial contract and required for extensions within 90 days.
- Fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. Noncompliance may result in termination of contract.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 0700-1500.
- Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- On-call requirement: Call one day per week and every 5th weekend.
- Orientation hours: 12 hours.
- Floating: Candidate may be required to float to other facilities within the client network.
- Charting system: EPIC.
- Equipment on-site: Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAM; training provided if candidate lacks experience with specific equipment.
