Summary
Ultrasound Technologist - Fetal Echo Therapy performs ultrasound scans and all other responsibilities of a staff sonographer in the department. Performs specialized Ultrasound procedures for Maternal Fetal Medicine patients including, but not limited to fetal echoes, Amniocentesis, Amnio Reductions, CVS, and intraoperative Ultrasounds.
Responsibilities
Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Education
Graduation from an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology is required.
Skill
Employees hired BEFORE 2/1/2017 must obtain the required ARDMS certification by 12/31/2017. Employees hired AFTER 2/1/2017 who have completed training at JHS MUST obtain their required certification within six months of hire. Any new hires with external training must have the required certification at the time of hire (equivalent amount of documented clinical hours may count towards experience. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities
- Schedule and Perform Pre Surgical, and Post Surgical Ultrasounds for Fetal Therapy Patients.
- Performs Intraoperative Ultrasound Procedures.
- Performs Therapeutically Fetal Echo's.
- Maintains accurate record of Fetal Therapy Ultrasounds performed.
- Performs all other duties of an Ultrasound Technologist 1.
- Performs emergency Fetal Therapy Procedures on an "on-call" basis.
- Follows and performs all related unit specific policies and procedures, as detailed on the unit specific competency check-list.
- Utilizes job and unit specific equipment as required.

- Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
