In collaboration with the Miami Transplant Institute, Holtz Children's is one of only three centers in the country that specializes in pediatric multi-organ transplants. It is home to one of only three state-accredited comprehensive children's kidney failure centers and one of the largest pediatric kidney transplant programs in the world. The Children's Heart Center at Holtz Children's is the only comprehensive children's heart program in South Florida. In partnership with the University of Miami, Holtz Children's also trains the most pediatric physicians of any medical center in the southeastern United States.

Summary

The Program Manager Community Health Programs directs and supervises the day-to-day functions of the assigned group practice in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations The Program Manager is responsible for carrying out all established policies. This position will have a significant role in the administration or preparation of the departments or the organization's budget. may assist and act in a confidential capacity to help manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. The incumbent may attend management meetings and may be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around confidential management decisions. Position requires exercise of independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all regulatory requirements for the program(s) are met by updating job descriptions, submitting required documentation to agencies, and producing reports as needed.
  • Act as a liaison for external agencies who regulate the program, and a representative of JHS when issues related to the program arise.
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the program by ensuring that staffing is appropriate, schedules are published timely, and supplies are ordered as needed.
  • Facilitate budgeting process for the program by meeting with Finance and Administration.
  • Manage the staff of the program by completing timesheets, assisting the Director in the completion of performance evaluations, approving/denying leave requests, etc.
  • Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
  • The Program Manager for the Telehealth Maternity Care Program (TMCP) at Jackson Health System's The Women's Hospital will operate under the direction of, and in close collaboration with, the Associate Director of Community Health Programs to lead the implementation, coordination, and growth of program operations.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of a comprehensive, technology-enabled care model supporting pregnant and postpartum patients.
  • A primary focus of this position is the development, integration, and expansion of doula services, embedding culturally responsive, patient-centered support throughout the care continuum—from prenatal through postpartum.
  • The Program Manager will work closely with clinical teams, doulas, and community partners to strengthen engagement, improve patient experience, and address social determinants of health, while ensuring all services align with TMCP requirements and Jackson Health System priorities.

Experience

  • Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. Management experience is required.
  • Experience in community health, public health, women's survives is a preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required.

Skill

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
  • Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

  • Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
