The Epic Student Analyst is an entry-level role focused on learning and supporting Epic system implementation. The role involves completing Epic training, preparing for certification, and gaining foundational knowledge of IT, clinical workflows, and operational processes. The analyst participates in project meetings, gathers data, and assists with system design activities under the guidance of senior team members.
Responsibilities
Complete required Epic training projects and coursework necessary for certification.
Attend and actively participate in all Epic courses, workshops, and learning activities.
Study and prepare for Epic certification exams within designated timelines.
Participate in governance meetings, project discussions, and decision-making sessions to understand system needs and priorities.
Build foundational IT knowledge, including system architecture, application design, and troubleshooting concepts.
Learn clinical and operational workflows to understand how end users interact with Epic applications.
Conduct data gathering and workflow analysis from prior clinical areas to support system configuration and design.
Collaborate with senior analysts, project managers, and clinical stakeholders to support project tasks and documentation.
Assist with testing, validation, and quality assurance activities as assigned.
Support the development of training materials, workflow diagrams, and project documentation as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical, or related field.
Education
High School diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
